So for anyone still on the fence about working with Ray at Double R Diesel, you should go ahead and contact him or JJ. Ray is above and beyond in customer service. Any questions I've had over the past couple weeks have been answered quickly and honestly. The MM3 instillation is fairly simple and after I sent my stock file, Ray sent the tunes that same night! Now that everything is deleted and installed, my truck us a new beast. The tunes are awesome, though I haven't tried anything over 120hp. So go ahead and buy from Double R Diesel because I promise your truck will be happy which will make you happy!
Now, a few notes on the deletes for anyone buying the *** EGR delete kit for 2015 Ram. After talking to Ray, I syphoned all the coolent I could get out of the resevoir. The instructions are pretty good, but get confusing at times. Watch videos for your year truck. I didn't have Internet, so I did a lot of guessing. The instructions say use the stock bolts on your cover plate. Don't do that. They actually provide 4 hex head bolts for that. Next unplug the butterfly and stock manifold probe and get them out of the way. Also disconnect the CCV filter hose and move it out of the way. When you get to removing coolant hoses, pull the block side first, then the closer connection. They just pull off, but you gotta really want it. Once the crap is out of your way, (this part confused me) you want to remove the stock fitting from the block and remove the oring and plug that hole with the provided plug. Now do the next part quickly cause you're gonna lose some coolant. Remove the plug from between the 5th and 6th cylinder and put the factory fitting in that hole. Getting it tight is difficult. Assemble the bracket as shown except for the CCV filter hose because it will interfere with the new coolant line. Now on attaching the coolant line, their hose clamp was too small on the block side so I had a bigger size on hand. You may want to do that too if you don't want to fight it. The hose is about 6 inches too long too, so I just cut it off the staight end. After it's all assembled, refill the coolant resevoir. I burped the connection on top of the new barb fitting and got a bit of air out of it, but I'm not sure that's necessary. Plan to do the CCV filter delete because there's a lot of oil in that line, plus I think I can route it better than it is now. My conclusion is that *** makes a pretty good kit, but the instructions were tough for a novice.
On the Flo-Pro 5" turbo back. I have no complaints here. It is mighty tough to get some of the connections and the hangers at the same time, but can be done. I do strongly suggest you get somebody to help get the downpipe clamped. That took me 1hr to do by myself, then the rest was pretty smooth in comparison. The stock exhaust is heavier than you would expect. Fellers, don't try to catch the muffler on your lap. After it all settles a bit, I'll tack weld the clamps as suggested. It's loud, but I don't think it's too bad just at idle. Keep your foot out of it in the neighborhood and I don't think anyone will complain. High idle whistle may be a different story. Over all, Flo-Pro makes a great product.
Thanks to IGOTACUMMINS and Double R Diesel! I likely would not have tried to do all of it myself if I hadn't found this forum.
