Lightbulb looking for an exhaust that doesn't drone in the cab

    I have a bone stock 2000 2500 5 speed with 4:10 gears
At 60mph I'm running 2k rpms looking for an exhaust
That will not drone in the cab. Any suggestions would be nice
I will eventually put 35s under truck which will drop rpms a little

I just bough a 5in turbo back straight pipe system from mbrp and it is quiet in my cab (at least in the drivers seat it is LOL). I love it and its just loud enough to get recognized without having to worry about getting pulled over. It's nice I would recommend them over banks

This is what I used in my 03. It only drowns when you are lugging the motor. I'm satisfied.

You can also undercoat the bead if it's not oily or muddy. It helps some. I did that on my 01. But that was a banks

I got a 4" TBE and the went to stacks after
tryed the straight pipe but drones bad at the right RPM
so put a areo turbine and still loud out side but good in the cab
now got stacks and put a FLO-PRO twister race muffler after the down pipe and all is good
but 5" pipe is a looks thing till you go big power 700hp or more

I installed a Magnaflow 15986 system onto my 08 Ram. When it still had the stock VGT turbo the exhaust note was not too loud when towing. After I swapped turbos for a SB366 it was louder from idle on up...way less restrictive compared to the VGT. So, depending on the turbo, this exhaust can be loud or quiet for a 5.9 or a 6.7. I was going to install a second muffler as it was a bit too loud when towing.

I am also a big fan of compound turbos. After the turbos are spooling and making boost they help to quiet the exhaust note.

Agreed, when I had an he351ve on my truck the exhaust was quiet!
Compounds are a little louder out the exhaust than the VGT, and a lot louder through the air intake, but I don't mind that haha
