U can always go back and spend the 400 bucks to get the other software later. My only question that is unanswered now is if the tune will return to the default tune every time the truck is shut off. I don't want to set it on a tow tune for a camping trip and then have the aggravation of reloading the tow tune if I stop to eat or fuel up. Does anyone have an answer for this?

It is recommended that you use 'send only once.' But, like you, I don't want that hassle either. When on a towing trip, I use 'every key on' and haven't had any issues. Good batteries and no grid heater probably helps.

Sorry for the ignorance but I assume these settings are just things I can program myself correct? I'm new to all of this. If it's not a Harley Davidson I don't know a whole lot about it. Haha. But I want to learn!!!!

Yes, you can choose those settings yourself. We all have those questions in the beginning. Once you play around with it, it's super easy. Tons of people here to answer your questions, so ask away! Ray is super quick to answer an email also.

It goes back to the default tune when you shut it off long enough for the ecm to go to sleep.
I don't recommend using the every key on feature for the RT. I've had a few trucks do funky stuff with the RT configuration to set to every key on. Leave it send only once unless you know what you are doing.

It's not trouble at all to load up the tow tune when you start the truck up via the RT menu...it only takes a few seconds.
