    Driving after tunes installed without delete

    How far can I drive after I install the tunes befor I replace the stock exhaust? I know that it has to happen soon but, is it going to hurt my engine if I drive the truck from the parking lot to the mechanics bay with the lift to switch out the exhaust? The plan is get my stock file, send it to Ray, get my tunes, drive to the shop, park, upload the tunes and then pull into the bay and put the truck on a lift and switch out the exhaust. I am renting the bay by the hour.
    Does that plan sound crazy? Should I just load it up in the bay, tune, and not drive it at all until the exhaust system is changed out?

    Short distance like that should not be a problem.

    So let's continue this knowledge train. Once I am all tuned and exhaust is replaced, do I need to unplug the egr vavle, throttle vavle and other egr connections? Mind you it will be the MM3 lite option from @Double R Diesel.

    Lots of great videos on Ray's website for this. But I believe you can leave everything plugged in now.

    I have watched all of his videos and I am still a little confused. I have seen one where he states to unplug the EGR and Throttle valve for all custom tuning and then I saw one/read(I cant recall) to just leave it be.

    The 13-17's don't need unplugged.

    Just the 10-12's do now.
