My 2012 cummins tuned vs 2013 stock

Okay, so my brother was test driving a 2013 ram cummins, the truck is stock under the hood and no tuner... it has 35 inch tires with a level kit.

we went to race side by side starting out going arouind 25 or 30 mph. the truck was about to pass me like he was flying by me. i had mine to the floor. im running fully deleted truck with MM3 custom tunes by doublerdiesel with the 120HP setting and cold air intake. How can a stock cummins truck be faster than mine?? i just dont get it.

I'm sure that someone else has a better answer but I know what you're talking about. I think it has to do with shift points. On the 120hp tune Once I get to 6th gear under throttle my truck feels like it's going to literally take off. It lugs a bit while getting going though

I mean ill be in 4th or 3rd gear and with the stock truck if we didn't come to the redlight it would have passed me. It kinda makes me mad. i mean 120hp tune with a transmisson tune should let a stock truck beat it.

Something ain't right. With any 120 tune I've ever run on my 2012, no stock truck is gonna get by me.

I am going to ask @Double R Diesel an see if he cant adjust them and adjust my trans tuning to where ill have better power to the floor and on take off, plus rolling take off.

Something ain't right. With any 120 tune I've ever run on my 2012, no stock truck is gonna get by me.

I believe it has to do with when the torque converter locks up/partially locks up. Ray will be able to adjust that. Good luck!
