    Flushed the DEF tank

Finally got around to draining and flushing my DEF tank. The fluid had been in there for just over a year. I pulled the fill neck fitting off the tank and used a hand pump to siphon it out. Then used my garden hose to fill it. Repeated the process a couple of times until clean water was coming out.

I'm hoping that will preserve the tank in the instance that I need to use it again.

    Re: Flushed the DEF tank

There was roughly 3 gallons of DEF in there. I've been putting it off for about a year now. What I pumped out was cloudy... like it was already starting to separate/crystalize in suspension. Got it all cleaned out, though.

I wish there was some way to manually cycle the DEF pump to completely purge the system.
