Shocks for 2012 3500 4X4 Crew Cab Long Box SRW

The front shocks on my 2012 3500 4X4 Crew Cab Long Box Single Rear Wheel are done! I won't buy OEM, so what are the recommendations? I don't have a lift kit and I have stock size tires. I use the truck for a daily driver and occasional towing. I have heard Bilstein make good shocks but not sure what else is out there that would work well. Any suggestions as to make model and where to buy would be appreciated.

I was talking with a buddy that had 5100's on his '14 2500. He had an issue with his. He had a pretty heavy load in the bed and the front shocks extended so far the springs came out of their seats. He switched to 4600's and no more issues up till the day he traded for a dually. I don't usually load that heavy but it really has me thinking....
