Hey guys. Been deleted and tuned a while. I removed the foam padding before I actually bought the truck, but left in the plastic. Should I remove the plastic so it's just an open tube?

I took the whole piece out as a unit.

I took the whole thing out of mine. I did notice a very slight increase in MPG but nothing to write home about. LOL

Nothing adverse. I think of it as trying to run a mile with a sock in your mouth.
Besides, we all know what happens to foam when it degrades and I didn't want bits and pieces going down the intake. Hope this helps.

I removed the foam and the baffle/holder thing when I first bought my truck. No issues since, almost 70k miles later.
