    Need some tire advice

So the time is quickly approaching to put a new set of rubber on my truck. I've clocked just over 31,000 miles in a year and a half on my Open Country MTs, and if I run them all the way down, I should hope to see 36-40K. But here's my predicament, they are expensive, and a royal pain to balance. As you can see, I do a LOT of driving, so I need a tire with exceptional tread life. However, I also spend a good portion of my time off road on trails that are laden with rocks (something that has definitely taken chunks out of my MTs), so I need a tire that is durable. My dilemma is whether or not to run another set of OC MTs or if there is a better option out there for our trucks. I appreciate any and all input!

Also, I'm contemplating dropping down to an 18" wheel for more sidewall, if anybody knows of any hot deals on wheels

See my thing is Ive seen a lot of mixed reviews about coopers especially on our trucks with the weight. But I'm willing to look into em!

The RT Toyo's are on the extreme expensive side, I'd have to get 50k out of em to justify the cost :/

I put the st max on my 05 3500 a year or so ago. Love them. I don't put many miles on the truck annually but when I do it's normally towing or up on NW logging roads. No complaints about them at all. Good on and off the road and they are wearing well.

Same here looking to get rims and tires in the future. Just like you lot of miles, but also pulling a 16K trailer. Just don't know who to use anymore LOL.

Pretty much the same situation. I'm pulling a 15k camper pretty regularly. I also have a DRW, which makes it a little more complicated. Id like something that looks a little more aggressive and gets longer life without having to go to big rig tires.

Hahah that's what I was thinking about. Some Alcoa supper singles. Get plenty of miles out of them. And weight would not be a factor hahah

Yea I don't tow or haul so I don't have that to worry about. But I do put a ton of miles both on and off road. It makes it difficult to pick a tire for sure.
