So the time is quickly approaching to put a new set of rubber on my truck. I've clocked just over 31,000 miles in a year and a half on my Open Country MTs, and if I run them all the way down, I should hope to see 36-40K. But here's my predicament, they are expensive, and a royal pain to balance. As you can see, I do a LOT of driving, so I need a tire with exceptional tread life. However, I also spend a good portion of my time off road on trails that are laden with rocks (something that has definitely taken chunks out of my MTs), so I need a tire that is durable. My dilemma is whether or not to run another set of OC MTs or if there is a better option out there for our trucks. I appreciate any and all input!
Also, I'm contemplating dropping down to an 18" wheel for more sidewall, if anybody knows of any hot deals on wheels
