    180A 6.7 alternator on 5.9

So thinking about this alternator that fits 07.5+ 6.7's:

The only difference between that one and the one on my 05 5.9 is the 2 pin connector I believe (it looks like it orientated different). So would this remedy that:

My stock 136A is dying . What have you guys done for alternator upgrades?

Gee whiz Greg. I was sleeping.

There's a short thread about it somewhere. It was back in June I think. I had to modify the 2 prong plug to make it work. I think I showed the pictures and told you what to do.

What year are you working on? I wish you said that up front

Ya I would be installing on a 2005. I'm going to order the parts and give it a try. The pins on the 05 and 07.5+ look the same, so I'm going to try and remove the pins from my connector and install in new connector.

This will hopefully clear it up, this is the only difference between the two alternators as far as I know. Physically the case size, etc, is the same.

I couldn't be bothered to do it right. If anything, I can always throw the 03 alternator back in if I have too
