    New to the Diesel World

Hey guys, and gals, I just purchased a new to me 2016 Ram 2500 with the 6.7L in it.

Just shy of 50K miles and bone stock.

Using it to pull a 28' enclosed trailer for racing motorcycles.

Really just looking for any easy tips and tricks to help it live longer. It's still under warranty, but from everything I've read it's best to delete after that expires.

I live in Illinois, the home of taxes and oppression, but luckily there are no emissions inspections on diesels here.

    I look forward to learning!

    Nick

    Welcome!

Deleting is dependent on how long you want to keep the truck.

If you’re planning on hanging onto it most would recommend deleting sooner than later.

If you think you’ll want to trade in a few years then keep her stock or use emissions tuning.

There’s a lot of good info on here so enjoy!

Welcome! Feel free to contact us to ask any questions. We love helping the newer guys and gals. Diesels love clean fuel and lots of cool air. Make sure the fuel filter and water separator are done on time no matter what. Make sure you don't idle excessively, keep that oil changed and don't worry about it being black. It's a diesel it's always going to be black unless it's brand new off the lot with less then 100 miles id guess LOL. Be sure to give it a little extra throttle every so often as well to keep that turbo actuator free and moving.
