    Old newb

I've had 5 Cummins powered Dodges over the last 25 years, my latest is a 16 3500 LWB SRW 4x4 Aisin. All others were 5.9's so I hope to learn more about the 6.7 and 4th Gen's. I'm on the fence about doing a delete, I'd love to just get rid of the EGR system since I know how dirty all the associated intake components get from it just for the sake of engine longevity so please tolerate my ignorance and questions as I sort out the good, the bad and the ugly of deleting.

Thanks H2O, How many miles did you have when you deleted? I only have 12,000 so dumping warranty this early in the game is a concern. What benefits have you seen from doing the delete?

I did a EGR delete with emissions compliant tune at 21k and a full delete at 44k. Both tunes on the MM3 from Ray at Double R Diesel.
Yes I paid for the 6 year 100k bumper to bumper but my dealer said if I have any warranty work needs to be done to bring it in. He is very delete friendly. LOL
Benefits I’ve seen are NO DEF! No lag in throttle response and my fuel mileage increased from 16 mpg to about 19 mpg just in stop and go traffic. My transmission is the G56. I’m going to be doing a 1,000 mile trip this week and I’m really anxious to see what the highway mpg’s will be.
