    Transmission Pan Drain Plug

    2012 Ram 64000 miles
Getting read to drop stock pan and want to install drain plug, I see Geno's has one but it is the screw in one with gasket. Would it be better to get a welded in one. Also going to install Revmax spin filter adapter. Was thinking about disconnecting return line, pumping out old fluid with new. Have not done it before, read numerous post about it, or should I just fill up pan.

I have the old style of pan and from understanding from friends, it's best to get it weld or made with the pan. I bought an over size pan with it made in it when manufactured and never looked back. I have only changed out the fluid and never flushed the system and have yet to have an issue. But many others I know of have flushed and have been fine. It all determines on how often you service the trans.

I installed the one that you’re talking about from Geno’s and have had zero issues.
