RT tunes not staying when truck is shut off

I recently installed the whole tuning package from ray @ DRD. With this I got the new switch function and mm3s ability for the tpms adjustment that comes with their latest update. Unfortunately I am experiencing what I think is an issue where I select the RT custom files for the sound tune and when the truck is shut off for more than a couple hours the tuner seems to default to the normal sound RT tune. But the switch function for adjusting hp levels is the same no matter how long the truck is off. Any advice?

That’s the way it works, Horsepower levels will stay where you left it on the new update but sound tunes/RT files revert back to normal after you turn the key off just like they used to before the update.

But when i cycle the truck off within an hours time the rt file stays and the sound still stays in.

Yes hp levels stay but RT you have to do every time you start truck

But what I'm saying is that its not every time. Its only when its been off for more than 2 hours or so. If I go into the store and I start my truck within 2 hours the rt sound stays. Even this morning I fished the beach for about 2 1/2 hours and the sound stayed. But longer than that and I have to re-send them.

side note .... What is the difference between the menu of "RT custom files" and "RT custom files send only once"

I don’t have the switch tuning, but when I load a sound tune and turn off the truck for say a quick stop at a gas station and then fire it back up, the sound tune is still loaded. Just like what you are saying, when I leave the truck for a couple hours then it will revert back to the normal sound. I believe it has to do with how the memory works within the ECM and it takes time to dump the RAM and revert back to normal. Definitely post your findings from Ray when you reach out.
