Question Trying to decide on tires

    Hey everyone,
I'm thinking my Transforce tires are about done. I'm trying to decide on the Toyo Open Country A/T II, Hankook Dynapro AT-M and the Nitto Terra Grappler G2. I'm not sure what kind of winter we're going to have in Alaska, but from the little snow we've got already, the factory tires aren't doing so hot even in 4wd. Anyone with experience on these tire choices? I know the Toyo's are decent, we've had em on my wife's Ecodiesel jeep for about two years now. Any other tires I should look into? I'm kinda limited on selection since AK isn't attached to the US haha.

Hey AKram! I've ran the Dynapro AT-M's on my CCSB super duty 7.3L years ago. Absolutely LOVED them in snow. Quite honestly out of the 3 you chose. You wouldn't be upset with any of them. They AT II's are amazing alla round, and have a badass warranty. All 3 kill it in snow/rain/muddy slippery conditions!

I used to use Transforce. They wore well. But I went with Yokohama's last year and they look like new yet. Just a thought. Custom Offsets prob has them

I have Toyo ATII Extreme now and had Nitto Terra Grapplers before these and have been satisfied with both tires. We don't get nearly the snow down here but the times we had, both felt sure footed.

Sorry, but I won't throw money away on Toyo tires again. I've had them twice and the crushed basalt rock on the rural roads where I live, just tore them up. I wasn't too impressed with them in the snow and ice either. Not saying they're poor tires, just not for the environment I'm in. On another note, I'm very happy with the Falken Wildpeak A/T3 tires, been on my pickup for a year. Great in the snow/ice and wearing great.

My last set of shoes was the G2's. Great in the snow and I got 90k out of them.

They probably should have been replaced 10-15k before 90k. There were not any cords showing yet though...and it was still summer, so I let them eat.
