    DPF/CAT Delete Guidance

I have an 07 2500 w/ 6.7L. My overhead says that my DPF is full. I would rather delete it than pay the $$ for a new filter. I have no interest in blowing smoke and all that. I have been looking at the delete pipes and the minimaxx tuner. I am looking for some guidance on this task.

Give me the pros and cons of this option and tuner.

    thanks

Have you called Ray at Double R Diesel yet? I was very happy with his services just recently. For my 2015 I just bought the 218.00 delete pipe kit, and the Race Me ultra. I think you can get custom MCC tunes from Ray

I had to do a full exhaust because my tail pipe rotted off. You can get by fine with the delete pipe, the head pipe off the turbo requires you to either cut the pipe in half or drop the trans crossmember down to get it out. I don't like the noises out my tailpipe without the muffler and am waiting for a new one. If you leave the head pipe with cat on it won't be much different than stock. I went with the ultra because I wanted gauges and the cost was only about $100 more for this setup and trans upgrades also. I can get custom tunes for it if I need to now from @doublerdiesel.

Talk to Ray before you buy anything, BEST thing I ever did!!

Noise wise it will not be different but power wise it will. Just with efi live and delete pipe mileage went from 13 to 19. Seat of the pants power was also way different but I cannot argue that replacing the whole exhaust will be WAY better.

I'm sorry I missed you! I actually work a second job and sometimes it allows me to keep with calls and sometimes it doesn't. There are multiple ways to reach me though as you can see. LOL.

For your year model, your best bet is EFI Live. I'm a RaceME guy but I'll tell you the truth. EFI Live gives the most options and best price for a 2007. Contact my friends at @Higher Power Performance. They are on this forum and they are great people!
