The Kelderman kit replaces the springs with air bags and a all new 4 link. Even the 3500 and 4500 kits from Kelderman replace the leaf springs with air bags. You don't have to have springs. There are many kits, a true air suspension replaces the springs, helper kits assist the springs.

2013 2500 has leaf spring rear and 4 link front. 2013 3500 has leaf spring rear and radius arm front. In 2014, the 2500 was destroyed.

    Re: Air bags on Daily

In 2014 the ride was dramatically improved by going to coils. The overall carrying capacity and sag in the back increased under load. As far as air springs are concerned I've never seen such uninfomed comments. Air suspension forgoes the coils and they I are replaced with bags anything else is air assist or supplemental. If you go to Keldermans site there are some good explanations. There is no comparison of full air suspension with coils or leafs. The ride is smooth compliant and adjustable without the harshness of steel. In a full air suspension system you do not put bags inside coils, that is limited to airlift 1000 series and the 5000 series these are helper bags and not air suspension, anyone claiming that full air suspension isn't smooth has never been in a truck so equiped. I spent a long time researching what was available. From all research Kelderman kept coming out on top with the only complete retrofit system.
The cost imho is worth it. My kit was a leveling kit which raises the front about 1/12" and lowers the back by 1". It allows for 305-55r-20 on -20mm offsets without rub. That's it for size though. Any larger will require a lift or less offset. The cost is around $2800. Plus your air management system and install if your not handy. The installation can be done in your garage or backyard

I would agree with you if I didn't have hundreds of owners that call or come to the shop complaining about the new 2500 platform. Air suspension works fine in low travel, heavy duty applications, but leave a lot on the table in ride quality and articulation.
