LOL There was enough left of it from rust to put it back together?

Well Boys and Girls Eventful few days. The weather didn't cooperate, so it took all week to get this done. But here goes

Found a cheap Turbo timer and installed it. Since I had 3 holes to fill, I also put in a fuel pressure and trans temp gauges. Flushed the cooling system, last weekend, but repaired the hose clamp that broke blowing off the upper hose. New Fuel Filters, Painted the rest of the frame, springs and suspension with the KBS Rust Coat. BTW, the part I did last year still shines and doesn't show any rust anywhere. Reconstructed part of the Dash where it was shattered and reinforced it to the inner sub dash. Lots of metal prototypes until I found what would work. Remounted my GPS bracket. Now it doesn't shake.

    Bored yet?

    Cool

I installed a set of these APS 6" Brushed Aluminum IBoards on my truck. They are brushed Chinese aluminum shaped in a 6" wide block with a rubber tread that runs the length of the board.

They certainly are different. Here are some pics installed:

They are big, wide provide great door ding protection and are extremely functional.

But.... I fear they also make my truck look like an "old man's" truck.

Nevertheless, at $219 off Amazon Prime with free installation (took me 2 hours this AM) and no drilling, etc... I'm happy.

Here is a link to the installation instructions: https://c1.rt-static.com/shared/pdf/.../ib04fbj8a.pdf

Here is a link to them being sold @ Realtruck.com with good information: https://www.realtruck.com/aps-6-brus...ib04fbj8a.html

Here is the actual link with misinformation on Amazon that I bought them from: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A7P5SUE

After looking them over for a while, I think they're growing on me -- a little. LOL!

If I ever buy another truck it will be a 1/2 ton gasser. The diesels are expensive to take care of properly
