Help me understand why in the world someone would delete their grid heater? There is no restriction of flow .
I truly think some people go overboard with deletes.

NO IT'S NOT A HEMI!
If you delete early then there’s no reason to delete the grid heater but if you are over 100k miles and stock, then I promise you, your heater is clogged with soot! Mine was packed with soot that I don’t know how it got any air flow.

Mine was replaced under warranty in February it didn't look all that bad . Why not clean it and put it back instead of Deleting it?
NO IT'S NOT A HEMI!
There are a lot of folks out there who do not like to take the time to do any of that. Although it is easy to take out and clean, it's easier for some to just get rid of it since they have it out already ya know?
I have seen quite a few cases where the grid heater is pretty caked with soot.

Maybe in Florida or texas but They actually work pretty good
NO IT'S NOT A HEMI!
I agree that they do work and you especially need one if you live where it gets cold! If you’re not planning to run 1000hp and your egr is deleted or tuned out early on, then you won’t see any significant gain at all from deleting it.

Heck, I cleaned mine with it in place using a brass brush and a shop-vac. Right at 100K and it wasn't all that dirty.
