Rays whistle tunes with EB engaged is what I like to refer to as a mans slide whistle when I’m and out of throttle.

Now you can hear the difference. This is with full exhaust brake and tow haul mode on and stock sound tune. Sounds the same with 12v tune and whistle tune also.

Another short one. Way more of a whistle than a rumble. Nothing like the other vid I posted.

    Deleted and Exhaust Brake

I’ve been deleted for a few years but kept the factory downpipe (with integrated catalytic converter). Last week it “fell off” and I installed a race pipe.

As soon as I took it out for the first drive and turned on the exhaust brake it sounded just like your videos, which was much different than how it sounded when the converter was in place.

I have the factory muffler/resonator but other than that it’s straight piped.

Looking forward to towing when I can really load it up and hear the turbo do it’s thing I love these trucks!

@TheDad yours sounds just like my 2012. The difference may just be rear door windows down, rear window open, microphone quality, etc. I think you're good.

Good to know that everything is good. Like I said I saw that first video while I was still “learning” the tranny so when I finally kicked the exhaust brake on I was a bit worried because it definitely sounded different. Just out of curiosity what makes his sound so deep and throaty? He is also running a 5” flo pro turbo back. Could it be the tuning? I see everyone who says theres sounds the same also has drd’s mm3
