    TV Delete Necessary?

Just wondering if a Throttle valve Delete is worth it. I have it unplugged and is just fine right now but what are the benefits of deleting it? I know the valve could get stuck shut but is that the only thing the Delete aids with?

All that you mentioned, but the way I understand it, straightens out the airflow also.

Thanks! I might just do it since it's not too expensive. Happen to know anything about porting the intake manifold as far as airflow gains?

I know enough to leave that kind of work to the professionals. It can get expensive, if one screws up....

I've got a 2012 that has been running deleted for 100K miles with the throttle valve merely unplugged. Never had one issue.

Sounds good. I pushed on the valve to see if I could get it to stick and it did but I went back and cleaned the soot off of it and it wouldn't stick anymore. I'll just leave it be for now!

When I Deleted a few weeks back I bought a GDP big bore throttle valve delete it came with gasket and bolts was easy to do. My truck with 48k miles on it when playing with the OEM throttle valve after it was off would stick in closed position and was extremely covered in soot. I am glad I did it I will in the next year also do a heater grid relocate after seeing how bad it is in there
