    My hitch is only on when I need it. I needed something for a step and this is wider for protection. I'm thinking about putting a recovery ring or hook under it.
    For $60 you should make em and sell em! Looks like a $100 easy to me!

    I do like them. Especially for the fact that I can still use it with the tail gate down.

    Agree with you on @DIESELWRKS making those and selling them. If he is anything like most of us spare time is at a premium and almost non existant LOL...

    I had a some steel that was used so that cut the cost and it was a friend that did it because I do not weld good. So buying him lunch and the remaining
    steel was about 60$. I can say this was overbuilt because that was the thickness we had. This same or similar step could be made cheaper. the tread plate
    was pricey because I had to buy a 1/3 sheet. I have leftover that I can use for something else.
