At 46K, the fluid is probably in pretty good shape. I won't have it flushed unless the fluid is blushed or has a bad odor. If it does, with that low mileage, have the trans done done by the dealer. Chances are there may be something wrong. Otherwise, just drain and flush. Look for metal flakes on the maginet. just plain black gunk is normal. Any metal is a warning. There are no bands so it's straight forward.

For you older truck owners, you must remember to adjust your bands. I did a write up in the How To section for you. It's easy and unlikely you will screw it up. The front band is the most important

I believe that 30k is the 'severe duty' recommended interval... For those that tow heavy and often.

If you use it to tow and/or haul, then 30k max is best. If you don't work it like that, then 50k would be fine.

My transmission builder, who just built my RevMax, wants new pan fluid and filters every 25k. I tow an 8k pound RV about 10k miles per year.

I'm out. Switched back to gas!
