Running after mm3 install but waiting on tunes?

    Hey folks,

I'm just about done installing my new MM3 from DRD. I have a quick question I'm hoping someone much more knowledgeable them me can answer.

After I have the MM3 installed and I power it up for the first time to get the stock file, can I still run the truck while I am waiting to get tunes?

Will simply powering up the unit change the stock tune it will the ECM stay stock until I manually send a tune to it?

    Thanks in advance!

Nothing changes until you tell it to load a tune. You can run the truck as long as the emissions components are intact.

Got it all set up, sent my stock file to JJ. While I was in the SD card, I noticed there are already three tunes present. I went with the "lite" option since it's really all I was after to begin with but I still thought there was a 'custom' aspect to it. Do these tunes get tailored to each truck or is it a one size fits all box style tune? I'm just curious is all, anyone else go with the lite package?

I've been running the lite tuning from DRD since September. It runs flawless. The trans tuning is awesome. Holds gears and shifts smooth. Personally I didn't buy it to run it hard, just wanted reliability and efficiency. I got both! Hope you experience the same.

So you did have to send in your stock tune or no? I'm just trying to figure out if I'm good to go with the tunes that came on the rig or if I need to wait for other files.

Hard to tell I'm new to this? LOL
