Names Pat and I was a Ford guy...never cared for their diesels past 2003, and I absolutely hated Dodge..(I've gone to the dark side...y'all had cookies) Owned ford all my life, even went to college to work on Fords, here's a list of my PITA's over the years:
1987 F150 xl 4x4 351 4bbl C6 auto (first truck)
1994 F250 xl 4x4 351 zf5
2001 Mountaineer AWD 5.0 4r70w (Meh..I beat the bag out of this one)
2005 F250 SD RCLB 4x4 5.4 3 valve ZF6 (Still have it has been an awesome truck despite it's reputation 212,000 ish on it motor's never been touched)
Was looking for another Super Duty (08-10 with a ZF6) then decided screw it I can't find any that aren't pooched out, so I test drove a 2018 2500 6.7 G56 4x4... That was the end of me looking at another FERD...
Found my new truck last October at (ironically) a Ford dealer in western MA...2014 3500 CCLB 4x4 6.7 G56 with 22k on the clock. Thing is absolutely minty. As I've been driving it and wrenching, I saw a couple things that kinda makes me think the previous owner could've been a forum member somewhere, first clue was a fumoto valve, second was the cabin air filter mod, would like to find the original owner someday. Needs tuned and deleted, way too quiet, and the dead pedal when taking off needs to go away... Need to get it oil undercoated, and the tailgate needs a big dent beaten out of it, seen three other 3500's just this week with the same damn dent.
