MM3 must be plugged in for tunes higher than 1? *newbee*

I know you can run the vehicle with the tuner unplugged. However, if one wishes to set the truck for a 90HP tune, once unplugged, does the ECM revert back to the "stock" tune?

By stock, i'm not meaning the Mopar stock, but the baseline starting point programmed tune.

My H&S reverts to "stock" upon 3 key cycles.

Also, if you unplug the tuner, does the ECM dethrottle/defuel the engine should a parameter get out of whack?

Like coolant temp above 220 degrees F, or EGT over 1250F?

The H&S only has the ability to detune if it's plugged in.

Just wondering if the MM3 from DRD is the same or is the ECM tune truly able to manage the engine without the tuner plugged in?

No the MM3 should maintain the last tune loaded.

The MM3 will keep whatever tune file you select until you change it. As for defueling on coolant/egt temps, to my knowledge it won't and is the responsibility of the driver to monitor temps.
