    MM3 Parasitic Load

I’m having trouble after my truck sits for about a week the battery is pulled down to about 11.6 volts and the battery light is on. After I drive it for about 5 minutes the light goes out and voltage rise back up to above 14. So I did a parasitic test on it. There’s about a 200 milliamperes of draw. If I unhook the mm3 the draw goes down to 60 milliamperes which is normal for a modern truck. Any help would be appreciated.

Is your unit shutting down after you turn off the truck? Mine goes into standby/sleep mode. I have never had an issue with it drawing that much power

Sounds like you may have a bad battery.

Sounds like a battery has gone bad. Get them tested and see what it comes with.

Agreed! Sounds like a battery failing.

Just wondering how a bad battery would still cause a parasitic load even when the battery is unhooked?

Is that with both batteries unhooked or just one?

bad battery. When it drops to a certain level the truck freaks out. I had 1 bad battery. I had my led bar switch on all night with my 2 newer batteries... no problem. I had nothing on except for my mm3 being hooked up with the older batteries and truck wouldn't start and threw codes. Changed that 1 battery and woila! fixed. I changed both just to be safe though.
