    I looked at that too. It actually had a lower temp rating than the Rust-Oleum..

    KBS makes exhaust paint. It comes in several colors too. They even have a high temp primer. I did the manifolds on my 62 with their white. It didn't erode like the previous sprays did.

    Looks really good. What paint? Did you end up taking that section of pipe off the truck to paint?

    Got some paint from Lowes today and decided to try it out. The hardest part of the whole thing was getting the stock rubber exhaust hanger off!

    Here is the before:



    And here is the before with the black tip to show the contrast:



    Started off cleaning everything up with soap, water, then alcohol and did a little priming. After spraying with the flat black I wanted to match the tip a little closer so I grabbed some of the semi-gloss "Ultra" rated for 1200F.





    And finally:





    Here were the paints for those interested:

    That looks great. I didn’t pull the pipe off the truck....taped off the tip and used cardboard to block any overspray.
