This is probably the route I’ll go also.
Thanks for the pics, easttxram
I have my new one in the box and will change it before the first camping trip or when the one fails, whichever comes first
Should I wait on deleting and tuning till the water pump stuff is sorted out? I have a 2017 but my VIN showed no recalls on the Mopar site
For $70, why wait?
I picked this up at Geno's Garage. https://www.genosgarage.com/product/...133/water-pump

Shouldn't be an issue but that really depends on the dealership. I had mine replaced under warranty before the whole recall thing came up and being deleted didn't make a difference.

I went ahead and installed the new Gates water pump and belt today. It wasn't that difficult, just time consuming. But the wind was (still is) blowing around 40 mph today, made a mess of things.

Buy your brand of choice and have FCA reimburse you. Mine ended up failing, so I had no choice but to replace it. Pretty painless process. Submit your receipt and in a couple weeks a check show up in the mail.
I would imagine this would work with no issues so long as FCA still has no replacement parts available.

Never ending project. Always adding something...
Thanks for the link, I am probably going this route, should buy the parts now before they become available.
@Geno's Garage put up a great article on their website about these pumps.
Check it out https://www.genosgarage.com/product/...057/water-pump Click on the Install and Tech Information tab
I am going to check mine. The gates pumps are now more expensive than the cummins replacement.
