    Rim question

Ok I was thinking about getting some rims for my mostly the 20” Laramie one so my truck doesn’t look all hooked up and nobody try’s to brake in it . But some friends told me to get 17” rims because the tires are a lot cheaper and easier to get. Is the true ? And is that the best way to go ?

    Re: Rim question

Tires for a 17' wheel will be cheaper, easier to get is debatable. Every heavy duty truck manufacture has a 20' wheel option from the factory now so tire companies like discount tire are stocking truck tires for a 20' wheel.

If your looking to penny pinch go with the 17's, if you like the look of the 20's and have extra $ go with the 20's.

Finding OEM laramie wheels will be the more challenging part and everyone who sells them thinks they are made of gold.

17” are cheaper and I like the fact it has a taller sidewall compared to a 20”. Check on eBay and Amazon for rims.

You are correct on that. I’ve been trolling online for a set of factory 20” take offs like this and can’t find them for any less than about $400 each.

Factory 17” wheels are gold here especially good ones that aren’t salt corroded

I'd consider selling you mine if you're interested. 2017 20" black Laramie wheels with some pretty bald Toyo M/T's on them.

    Where are you located?
