Dumped the 6.0 for a 6.7 thinking about deleting.

Hello everyone. I am a new member here. My last built diesel was a 2003 6.0. Lift kit straight pipe, injectors, trans etc. I had it for about two years and ended up being more trouble than it was worth. I currently have a 2016 tradesman crew cab with 60k miles on it. I’m thinking about doing a full delete with a 5” pipe. And running a mild tune on it. My main question is how are everyone’s shifts. Is it similar to stock? My 6.0 was brutal and didn’t make for a good daily driver. Also what modifications would I have to make to support maybe a 120 or 150 horsepower tune. I’m a pretty conservative driver but I do like to get into it every now and again.

Thanks in advance for all your help

I love the truck. I bought it New with 5 miles on it and have zero regrets. I wouldn’t even consider going back to ford. This seems like a great community and I’m glad to be a new part of it.

That’s good to hear! How much power can they hold? Obviously if treated well and not doing burnouts and 4wd launches all the time.

The 68RFE can handle up to 120HP with no issues.

That’s pretty impressive. Are the shifts similar to stock?

    No! Way better!

No more dead pedal or floating trans. It locks the converter 3rd-6th and the shifts are much firmer.
