Old thread revival - I had never run my EB except to make sure it worked when I bought it with 58k.

I have read quite a bit, and it seems many guys run all the time with them to prevent soot build-up as a best practice almost.

Is it best to leave it on and run it?

Yes it is best to leave it on so the mechanisms keep from locking up.

Over 50,000 on DRD TUNING AND EB ON AAAAAAAAL THE TIME. Always one of those shade tree fellas out there that want to strut their stuff . All good, maybe he should spend some time on the forums. These guys/brothers know what they’re talking about. Just my 2 cents. No disrespect intended at all.

50K miles on DRD EGR-less and 56K on the truck now. Always run EB on and I have never had an issue.

I've put a couple of thousand miles since tuning and running the exhaust brake without issue.

Wish I had run it the first 8k I put on my truck going to save my brakes for sure!

At the risk of exhausting this thread, what are the best settings for the exhaust brake using some of the settings in RaceME Ultra (I have a BD valve body plate with a custom tranny tune)!

I noticed that my exhaust brake cuts out a little sooner after the shift kit, custom tune, and turbo replaced with a 045770 BD Diesel Screamer Performance HE351?

I could see it from the point of view that there is more pressure.

I've always used mine when needed and haven't ever had a problem with it.

Plus, always using your EB helps keep the turbo actuator clean and running properly.

    Someone's trying to scare ya.
