As far as the transmission goes, some good custom tuning will help keep it happy and together. I'd recommend talking to Ray at Double R Diesel to get you all set up in that regard. Between that and his engine tuning you'll have a whole new truck from what you have now.
I will have to talk to Ray. Right now as it is, i would have expected it to feel allot more powerful than it does.

My truck has been deleted since it's first oil change. Almost 40,000 miles later and not a single issue. I, like Brandon, have Ray's custom MCC tuning and I still grin from ear to ear everytime I hit the skinny pedal.

Being that you have an '11 you can pick up a H&S MiniMax or XRT Pro and add Ray's custom tuning without breaking the bank.

Maximum Calibration Control. It is the H&S version of custom tuning.

Hello friend. Let me get some stuff nailed down with the Warp tuning software and I'll hook you up with a package deal that will include a RaceME Ultra, custom Warp tuning, exhaust, and all the goodies.

If you take the EGR valve off, which I recommend but not needed, you will see lots of black inside. You do not have to take any of the EGR off if you don't want, but you DO have to remove the DPF/NOx from exhaust. I would spend the few hundred extra and do the whole exhaust. The throttle valve can stay on, but unplug it with the key off and it should be open. It acts like a choke in carb during DPF burn off. There are lots of kits with a TV delete pipe on ebay for around $100, get the gaskets for EGR valve and EGR cooler delete plates- do not reuse the old ones like they say. I would also recommend the trans tuning if you can swing the $200 more, comes on Race ultra. The mods to the shift points and line pressure are the same as "shift kit" we did in the old tranny's. Makes it shift better and live longer.

I know it's more money, but the Race ultra comes with everything you need in one neat package with gauges to monitor things. If you get almost any other setup your only about $200 behind this with trans tuning, I have been looking for 2 years at this. Just got ready to do it now, picked up a different truck recently.
