    Re: RT reset

    Hey Guys,

The RT Reset function will not delete any RT files from your RaceMe/MM3/Touch. It resets the ECM back to the tune that is flashed into the truck.

I have used it and it is handy for deactivating an RTG or RTP if you no longer want it active in the ECM. An example might be if you were towing and had an rt file that tuned the fan on 100% for going up a steep pass. Obviously you wouldn't want to keep that setting, so you could simply hit the RT Clear button to go back to normal.

Previously, you would have needed another RT file to return back to normal.

Thanks for the replies. I am going to give it a try. See if it does anything with clearing the ECM tuning and reflashing. Then if there's any benefits with how things run and mileage

Has anyone tried to reset a 12v tune with this button?? I press it but the pilot injection is still 0 so it's almost like it's doing nothing at all

The RT reset feature will not reset everything back to the ecm file. It's complicated to explain why it won't, but just understand it won't. The ecm has to go to sleep before what is written in the Random Access Memory to clear.

That part I understand. Is there any real purpose for the RT reset function then

Honestly it does nothing useful for me. However I'm sure it has a purpose.
