Thread: Another 68RFE Trans?

    Another 68RFE Trans?

I'm in the process of getting my tunes dialed in (EFI Live); sorry, guys.

My tuner had me at the Revmax specs, but I wanted it with a little more grip.

He has me at 4th, 5th, and 6th TCC locking.

The line pressures are 250 in all gears, I believe.

Idle is 80-90, neutral is 120, and 6th gear engages at 65mph finally.

Any feedback on when yours locks and line pressure?

I don't want to break it fast, but I'm also new to having a choice on how it shifts.

The old tunes were a mystery to me since I purchased the used truck.

The trans is only three mo old from when it was built.

Billet TQ, Drum, Revmax Zeroflex VB, etc.

It looks very familiar to DRD tunes.

DRD tunes with Revmax valve body shift great.

I’m not a fan of the WOT shifting, but I rarely ever WOT my truck.

So I’m very happy with the shift pattern.

I just put a built trans in my truck as well, but I’d ask the builder what psi to run things.

My builder wanted 100 psi on idle.

    I did his DIY plug-and-play.

I had a month off of work so I decided to do it myself and it saved me almost 7k.

Might be one of the “prebuilt” kits they are selling now.

Drums already have clearances set and are assembled. Just have to swap parts basically.

The kits don’t save you 7k vs having them build it though.
