Some call it a Y pipe, some call it a U pipe, but that is where I found my issue.
Any sign of any kind of leak ?
(It doesn't take much to get that smell in the engine compartment.)

Literally just smelled coolant towing my rzr to a ride today. Pulled over and open the hood and found splatter in front of the egr. Can someone take a picture of the pipe i need to replace?

Just FYI...the smell is a known issue even on newer trucks. There was an issue with the expansion tank. There are many threads on other forums talking about this and for some reason I though FCA released a bulletin on this issue. I have a 2015 and a 2017 with very low mileage and they both do it. No leaks just a slight coolant smell sometimes.

The Y pipe looks like this on the 13-14 trucks. I believe on those years they had a dual radiator setup, and 15-16 they switch back to single radiator setup. There is a company somewhere that makes a billet replacement, which would be a better option in my opinion. I'll see if I can find it.

Only 13's-14's had the ypipe. They switched to a single rad after that.

When I deleted I never replaced the coolant lost from the cooler. So I'm sitting between min and high, right at the seem of the tank. Wouldn't you only smell it if it was over full??
