Statement : I was doing my valve lash today on my 2010 set intake to .010 and exhaust to .020 but on the cover it says exhaust should be .026 (I'm deleted by me and tuned by DRD (still run CCVf) 500-550hp to crank) I didn't notice any improvements other than it sounding quieter than normal, I actually noticed that it felt like I had less power.
Question: Has anyone experienced this? And do you have any recommendations?

I run .010 and .020 with no power issues. Definitely seems quieter

between 10 and 20 thousanths, meaning 0.010 and 0.020 is correct. remember 0.25 is a quarter of an inch. 0.125 is an eighth of an inch. you would not want your valve lash in that kind of range.

All it's doing is opening the exhaust valve a millisecond sooner. It allows for more expansion of the exhaust valve from combustion heat. Cummins had a reason for opening up the spec, ya think? In some cases that's not good as the gases aren't completely burned. If anything you "might" see a reduction in in economy and maybe slightly more smoke.
That's a 5.9 spec 10/20, As I recall, this is another brain child of Cummins forum
