    Deleted mileage

I deleted my truck back in April and have been very happy with it so far. I'm running a MiniMaxx and it stays on "tow" 99% of the time because I found that tune gives me the best mileage. However a couple days ago I spoke to someone at a gas station running a BlackMaxx (virtually the same thing from my understanding) and he said he's getting 20+ city and occasionally over 30 hwy. I'm lucky to hit 15 mixed. Is there something I can do to improve my mileage? MAP is clean and everything is deleted including grid heater. I don't bury my foot very often so I would expect to see at LEAST 18. Maybe DRD has some advice?

The chances of that mileage being calculated are extremely slim. With the right highway gear and a very small tire. There's a chance of big numbers for mileage
Without knowing more about the truck I'd guess it was one of a few things

    Blowing smoke up your a$$
Intital mileage from a full up on a truck already at operating temps. Not true average on a tank
    Or
Outrageous EVIC numbers that are off by a ton

So you're saying 14.8 for mine is somewhat normal? Majority of my miles are on a winding 2 lane country road to and from work with 2 stop lights along the way. I'm running a 32" mud terrain with 3.73 gears.

Realistic numbers depending on the year, trans, mods, etc.... could be anywhere from the 15 you're saying to around 20ish

Quality of fuel helps. Winter blend will drop mileage now that it's back

I agree with @9mgcb81. It's most likely that the tuning on the black Max has the EVIC reading heavily optimistic. Not sure what your your truck is but I average 15 on mine daily and 20-22 if all highway on summer fuel.

I knew guys that said they were getting 30 mpg on thier 5.9 third gens, maybe they were, but I haven't seen anyone get close to that in a 6.7.

Not sure why it's a small pic, anyhow the 10 mpg is towing my 13K toy hauler.

Just went from central NY to Martinsville, VA and back with a 12,000# fiver. Got 10.25 mpg while evic was telling me over 14.
