I'll look at the VGT side on the computer. But my initial judgement is, give it more gas LOL

Alright, lets see if I did this correctly. If so, there should be (4) .csv files.

001 - Leaving town, normal driving
002, 003 - Hard pull from rolling start in second.
004 - Coming back into town, normal driving again.

I do have the exhaust brake on, there is a point in 001 that I had to let off for a car turning, it may make the VGT position look a little odd.

If this doesn't work, let me know and I will do learn some more.
@redraiders - I'm not intending to hijack your thread. Hoping that with our similar experiences, and combined data, we get a better formulated answer. I am happy to jump off if you prefer.

    Thanks,

Hey @redraiders @Slow Learner I will look at your log files here in a bit and give you my best opinion on what they show.

@redraiders I think your MM3 is tracking boost in BAR not PSI. Your log shows 2.52456 under Boost at 23.66% throttle, which when converted from BAR to PSI equates to 36psi.

Regardless your throttle percentage and boost pressure graphs line up appropriately. Your VGT is all over the place though, at least from what it looks like on a graph.

@Slow Learner your log 2 shows that during your heavy WOT pull, you maxed just over 18psi, but your VGT never opened up further than 54%. Best judgement I have is that's why you aren't making full boost. If you have an EGT gauge, I'd be willing to bet your EGTs are through the roof.

    Thank you.

I scrolled through the numbers last night, but wasn't going to jump to any conclusions myself.

No EGT other than what the MM3 will output.

Watching how long it took to build boost, explained a lot on why I thought it was so sluggish compared to the old truck.

Is the likely cause for this a dirty turbo? This truck has 104k on it, stock.

Oh yeah dude, if you're over 100k you're definitely looking at some coking in the turbo. 2 other people on here have attempted cleaning the VGT with not good results. But either way, that's probably your issue.

That's weird...my mm3 gauge shows boost psi and it is matching my trucks ecm gauge for boost. I didnt really hit very high speeds while data logging (30 -40 and 50 mph when I hit my wot pulls) do you think that would be the VGT issue? I could data log again at some higher speeds if that would better determine the issue? I'm still learning about all this but with the VGT numbers like that...would that mean I need to replace the turbo?

Thanks again for all your help!
