need some help about a dealership issue

so im at a bump in a road with my current issue. i took my 2014 ram to the dealer for the airbag update fix before i was tuned/deleted this was 6 months ago. While they did the update they said that while flashing the truck with the update it had corrupted my abs module and my traction control light is always on now. they tried re flashing the truck three times before saying that its kinda f'd up and i need a replacement. so i asked how much would it be to fix they said free since they messed it up. and i've been talking with them about the issue and they keep telling me the module is on back order and they wont be seeing any for a while. so im wondering if im getting played in this situation. this has been going on for 6 months now.

Sounds like maybe others have had the same issue if it's back ordered. Wouldn't hurt to call another dealer to ask about it. Also ask them to check if other dealers have it in stock.

From past experiences I'd recommend getting something in writing that they will cover it for free. Some kind of documentation.
I always trust the dealerships as far as I can throw them.

Agreed, get that in writing as word of mouth means nothing these days from them... Heck even record the convo! Learned the hard way a few times that this should have been done but stupid me too trusting LOL

Amazing what you can find at Walmart.com. $180.00 Just make sure it's the part # you need.

I had the abs light after the airbag recall also. What I found out and had to tell the dealer was they missed a step. Steps 15, 16, and 17. Go into the ABS module, do an ABS initialization by following on screen prompts, and clear any dtc's. Fixed my issues.

The part isn't actually carried by Walmart, it is just being sold through them just like Amazon does with other vendors.

The link provided shows that the part is actually Sold & Shipped by MyMoparParts.com

If you go directly to MyMoparParts website, and plug in the part # you'll see it comes up about $4 cheaper there too.
