What are you guys doing to the active air if anything. I would prefer mine get fresh air from the grill at all times. Cars did it for decades with zero issues. Can we remove the flapper without a cel?

Should have no issue unhooking flap or rod just leave actuator plugged in.

Only thing possible is in winter with snow if don't use winter front may get full of snow .snow .

It very rarely snows here in ga. So I should be ok
I used to do it here in Jersey. I never had a snow problem. I did make a shield for the inside of the air box, so rain didn't blow right onto the filterOriginally Posted by Capt543

I removed both air dams inside, no issues. Make sure you have some tork bits and a good flathead . The front dam is a little tough to come off. If you don’t want to put it back on at anytime I would get a small dremel and cut it off. I have mine to where I can put it back on during the rainy season. As for code, it will just say service ram air system. After a couple of key cycles it’ll go away.
