Glad I found this video from Ray!

Hey everyone, I was browsing youtube and I was glad I found this video! I planned on using my Amp power steps and MM3 with a OBDII splitter, i guess that is a NO NO. I am looking into how to hardwire them in. If anyone already knows how please let me know.

Just thought I would post here for any other new people thinking of using the steps with the MM3.

You have to either buy the new harness from Amp which is really expensive or set up a couple of diodes for each side. I think I was out like 10 bucks for diodes and connectors when I did mine. Amp was also helpful in getting me to the proper instructions so I knew what wires to use.

Thanks everyone for your help. I found a quick solution until I can spend the time hardwiring them in. I just opened the doors so the step came down then crawled under and unpluged the motor so they stay down all the time even when unplugged from OBD. They don't look bad down and its a temp fix so I can run my tuner without problems.20180205_121332.jpg20180205_121332.jpg20180205_121332.jpg20180205_121355.jpg
