Do you tow at all with those tires? I have a 10K Lb GVW RV trailer that's usually loaded to around 8500 pounds I tow about 10% of the time. I'm thinking with the 3.73:1 read end and a RaceMe 80 hp tow tune I should be OK? What do you think?

I see Cooper also carries an LT 285/75R17E in their new Discoverer A/T3. Anyone have any feedback on that tire?

Sure do. A 32' TT that sits between 9-10k depending on the trip.

We haven't had too many people purchase the new a/t3 yet, but cooper does a decent job! As for the AT II's, we've sold more and more sets of those that they're pushing for the top 5 slot! Great great tire all around!

I'd like to know if there are any issues or advantages? Tire life span and how this size stands up to towing would be nice to know too.

So I purchased the Cooper A/T3's in an LT285/75R17E and they are awesome! They look much better and fill the wheel well nicely and no issues at all with rubbing. The truck rides smoother and still handles well. The engine runs 200 rpm lower at 62 mph (100 kph) and the tires make 44 fewer revolutions per mile than the stock tires.....that has to make a difference in lifespan. Thanks to all for the feedback...it's appreciated!

Are you running a leveling kit, to fit those tires? Looks great, I'd like to bump up a size or two from stock myself.

the front end is stock and I have lowered the back end 1-1/2" at the axle by removing the 3 steel 1/2" shim plates between the leaf springs and the axle saddle. The truck now sits perfectly level. I also have the AirLift 5000 series air springs so it rides level with the trailer hooked up too. The truck rides smoother with these tires but I can feel more flex in the sidewall than with the 70 series tires, but it's worth the trade off. It also dropped my 60 mph rpm by 200 revs.
