Plz help to make me a believer...

Hey everybody! I'm new here. Just got myself a 2015 2500 6.7 Cummins w 57k on it. So far it's been a tough road. Recalled water pump crapped out at 60k left me stranded 500 miles from home... Now the cel is on... p20ee. P229f. P1c54. P249e... it's going thru a tank of def to about 4 tanks of gas....had a mech look at it and he said some wires got damaged from heat... I'm not a diesel mech but I didn't see any burned wires... looks like about 3k to fix all this crap... any suggestions? I've heard all kinds of good things deleting the whole system... not sure where to invest my money. Thanks

The only thing I'm worried about with deleting it is that I'll probably end up being in a state that'll go for the emission testing...

Just do a delete pipe and leave everything under the hood alone.

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you got quite the dilemma on your hands. It sounds like fixing it and deleting it will cost about the same.... but if you plan to move into an area where they will do emissions testing then fixing it right is the sound choice.

With only 57k shouldn't you still be able to get the emissions system repaired under warranty?

    Hello and welcome @Duzdrum83
    Enjoy our forum !
That’s a tough call on fixing or deleting, but a good question that Power247 asked about warranty ? I kept having CELs pop up and I finally pulled the trigger and had it deleted, glad I did. I know, easier said than done, keep us posted and good luck !!

I'm with @Power247, warranty should help you out some. The boss, @IGOTACUMMINS has a good point also, delete pipe, leave everything else on in case you need inspections.

I tried the warranty coverage... exhaust components are only covered to 50k or 5yrs which ever comes 1st... there goes that idea... the control module for it is covered to 80k. Then power train to 100k. That's the other thing. All other warranties are void after the delete. I've got 64k on it now. Really appreciate all the responses. Thanks alot!
