Tranny ? Jammed

I have a 2011 Ram 6.7 Cummins, 275,000 miles. In the past two weeks the Tranny has suddenly stuck in while in gear. I put it in "D", go about 50' & the truck suddenly comes to a stop. The engine revs & wants to move, but will not move. Change to "R" & still will not move. Go to "N" & then "D" & it runs fine. Also, don't know, it feels like it the brakes could be stuck on. I changed the oil in the pan about 2,000 miles ago. Had the previous oil analysed & it was OK.

Is the truck tuned and have you checked for any codes? Anyway to monitor what the transmission is doing (Line pressure, convertor slipping, excess heat)?

Unfortunately, no. I've seen a 68 torn apart, but don't know the characteristics. I understand the process, but don't know the sequences.

275K, chances are it's just plain worn out

Agreed if you got 275,000 out of original tranny I’ll be impressed sounds like it’s worn out to me also
