    Aftermarket 3rd Gen Exhaust Manifold

Hey I am thinking about swapping out my factory manifold for an aftermarket manifold. I am wondering if one brand sticks out more and is of better quality. Also I have my concerns about if It will actually make a big enough difference to spend the money as my manifold is not cracked or leaking at this time with my SilverBullet 64 attached to it. Thanks

There are many after market manifolds out there, and many swear by them.

But what I'd like to know is:
What is the advantage / benefits of spending all that cash and work installing one when the original is still good ?
How are they better than stock .. if it's only for changing them out for the heck of it ?

They're supposed to flow better than the stock. Personally, I think it's just a gimmick. Headers are the only good answer for flow. However, I would weigh the benefits vs. the cost. If you have a street truck, just leave it. I'm more into form and function than it looks cool.
@Weeseven got to drive my truck which is very mildly tuned, with the trailer, he thought it ran really good.

It's your truck, do what you want. It's my .02. I'd rather install a larger turbo. Compounds don't do anything for me.

Re: Aftermarket 3rd Gen Exhaust Manifold

That's what I noticed, since all after market manifolds are basically designed after the original and not as the tuned automotive exhausts I've known in the past. So for me I don't see a need for the after market one except if the original needs to be replaced. Then maybe the stainless ones, but that's questionable also.

and @Polaraco you are a breed of your own ... thank God for that ......
