I asked a friend of mine by phone what he was doing.
He told me he couldn’t talk because he was working on “aqua-thermal .. treatment of ceramics, aluminum, and steel .. while under a dangerously constrained environment.”
I was impressed ..... Until the following day when I learned that meant he was “washing dishes .. with hot water .. under his upset wife’s supervision.”

The oldest computer can be traced back to Adam and Eve.
It was an Apple. But with extremely limited memory ... with just 1 byte ... then everything crashed.

"Lexophile" is a word used to describe those that have a love for words, such as "you can tune a piano, but you can't tuna fish", or "to write with a broken pencil is pointless." A competition to see who can come up with the best lexophiles is held every year in an undisclosed location.
Here are this year's winning submissions:
…. When fish are in schools, they sometimes take debate.
... A thief who stole a calendar got twelve months.
... When the smog lifts in Los Angeles U.C.L.A.
... The batteries were given out free of charge.
... A dentist and a manicurist married. They fought tooth and nail.
... A will is a dead giveaway.
... With her marriage, she got a new name and a dress.
... A boiled egg is hard to beat.
... When you've seen one shopping center you've seen a mall.
... Police were summoned to a daycare center where a three-year-old was resisting a rest.
... Did you hear about the fellow whose entire left side was cut off ? He's all right now.
... A bicycle can't standalone; it's just two tired.
... When a clock is hungry it goes back four seconds.
... The guy who fell onto an upholstery machine is now fully recovered.
... He had a photographic memory which was never developed.
... When she saw her first strands of grey hair she thought she'd dye.
... Acupuncture is a jab well done. That's the point of it.
And finally:
... Those who get too big for their britches will be totally exposed in the end

SENIOR JOKE OF THE WEEK
The triumph of age and experience:
A farmer stopped by the local mechanics shop to have his truck fixed. They couldn't do it while he waited, so he said he didn't live far and would just walk home.
On the way home he stopped at the hardware store and bought a bucket and a gallon of paint. He then stopped by the feed store and picked up a couple of chickens and a goose. However, struggling outside the store he now had a problem - how to carry his entire purchases home.
While he was scratching his head he was approached by a little old lady who told him she was lost. She asked, 'Can you tell me how to get to 1603 Mockingbird Lane ?' The farmer said, 'Well, as a matter of fact, my farm is very close to that house I would walk you there but I can't carry this lot.'
The old lady suggested, 'Why don't you put the can of paint in the bucket. Carry the bucket in one hand, put a chicken under each arm and carry the goose in your other hand?' 'Why thank you very much,' he said and proceeded to walk the old girl home.
On the way he says 'Let's take my short cut and go down this alley. We'll be there in no time..
The little old lady looked him over cautiously then said, 'I am a lonely widow without a husband to defend me... How do I know that when we get in the alley you won't hold me up against the wall, pull up my skirt, and have your way with me?'
The farmer said, 'Holy smokes lady! I'm carrying a bucket, a gallon of paint, two chickens, and a goose. How in the world could I possibly hold you up against the wall and do that?'
The old lady replied, 'Set the goose down, cover him with the bucket, put the paint on top of the bucket, and I'll hold the chickens.

Some Daily Affirmations
A good scapegoat is nearly as welcome as a solution to the problem.
I have the power to channel my imagination into ever-soaring levels of suspicion and paranoia.
I need not suffer in silence … while I can still moan, whimper and complain.
I assume full responsibility for my actions … except the ones that are someone else's fault.
I honor my personality flaws, for without them I would have little personality at all.
When someone hurts me, forgiveness is cheaper than a lawsuit. But not nearly as gratifying.
The first step to happiness is to say nice things about myself.
The second, to do nice things for myself.
The third, to find someone to buy me nice things.
Just for today, I will not sit in my living room all day watching TV.
Instead I will move my TV into the bedroom.
Who can I blame for my own problems ?
Give me just a minute ... I'll find someone.
Why should I waste my time reliving the past when I can spend it worrying about the future ?
I will find humor in my everyday life … by looking for people I can laugh at.
I am willing to make the mistakes if someone else is willing to learn from them.
Today, I will gladly share my experience and advice, for there are no sweeter words than "I told you so."
