It's a glitch that should be fixed. It isn't the engine, is the gauge that's off.

Best thing you can do right now Is while changing tunes with RT, don't be creating boost.

Never investigated but this could be the case. If so, it's just a firmware glitch. Great observation though.

So the best time to switch RTs is at idle with little to no boost so it'll be closest to accurate?

Anyone with pillar gauges that can confirm it's a Raceme gauge issue?

I have one and I'll try it out tomorrow.

*edit-I read that wrong...I do not have a separate boost gauge.

My Ultra has done it with WARP in 12v tuning on the device. Not switching while driving. It's happened with the RT being the set tune. And it will read negative boost pulling to a dead stop -15 to -20 pounds
My pillar just shows no boost or slightly off the stop under 1 pound at a stop

Haven't really watched in other tunes. Was wondering why months ago but no issues with the engine so figured it was just a glitch

    Re: RT Tuning Question

Bringing this back to the top. Let me start by saying the truck is running great. Like others, I am thinking this is a MM3 issue because I never saw a negative reading with my Edge CTS.

I recently installed my MM3 and notice now that my boost reading is often below zero at idle. It didn't start doing this until a couple days ago when I switched to a RT tune at a stoplight and had to go before it finished loading. Now it is doing it with the base tune every time I start the truck. Has anyone found a solution to this? My next step is going to be unplugging from the ODB port to try and reset the monitor.

It's a MM3/Ultra glitch, the boost gauge zeros out during the RT process. I now have an analog boost gauge and tested it out. Loaded a tune while stopped, but took off prior to it completed loading. Had a -8 boost reading on my ultra, when I came to a stop, but the analog showed positive boost as I drove on down the road.

    Re: RT Tuning Question

If you mess around with different things you'll see quite a few read negative. Even under load, city driving and highway. Different year trucks may be different along with who did the tuning

    Example would be timing
There's no way that timing would be -3 to -6 with throttle @ 35-40% speeding up going through gears
And sitting @ -1 or so idling
