    On the 2013+ Ram started using a front axle disconnect.

    On the 2010-2012 4th gens. Everything turns all the time on the front driveline when driving even in two wheel drive. That's why we have to jack-up one front tire off the ground to rotate the front drive shaft.

    I went with the gates heavy duty belt also . Replaced the tensioner when i changed the belt. Haven't had to change the water pump yet. Thinking about getting one to put in my floor storage since i already have 125,000 miles on the stock pump.

    I have 130,000 and I assume that it was the stock pump. It wasn't failing, I was just being proactive. I was going to buy the Cummins pump but Geno's recommended the Gates pump. I did buy a Cummins tensioner though!

    Could also partly explain why 10 - 12's get such crap mileage.

    Yeah I think I read somewhere that ram was claiming it would help gain 0.5-1 mpg when they did it. Not positive on that though.
