    New guy looking for answers

Hey guys, I’m new to the forum but nevertheless, I have a 2016 Ram 3500 SRW Cummins 6.7 diesel and I have a couple questions. I am very convinced that it is worth it to delete the truck. I have never deleted a truck but I am trying to decide between a 4 or 5” turbo back straight pipe. Also I want to delete the egr and possibly the egr cooler but I have read mixed reviews on the egr cooler. I also am curious if it is worth it to buy your own tuner or if it is even necessary. Is it even necessary to delete the throttle valve? I would much appreciate any feedback and tips as I am preparing to delete my truck and guys I’m all ears so don’t hesitate to call me out and set me straight.

I have some friends that are Cummins mechanics and the way they explained it to me was your engine reacts a lot like the human body. If there is anything restricting it from inhaling or exhaling it will shorten it's lifespan. As far as the throttle valve delete kit goes, it only costs between $15 and $30so I got one. I went with the 5" turbo back exhaust to further facilitate the exhale. When you buy the EGR delete kit, it will come with everything to bypass and remove the EGR cooler. The tuners used to delete all of this stuff are programmed with your VIN so they can't be used on multiple vehicles. If you knew someone that had like a MM3 tuner I think you could buy another license to enter a second VIN and just flash your truck with your friends tuner but I feel better having my own do to the fact that they are occasionally updated and you would have to have the tuner to take advantage of the updates. There's probably a lot smarter people on here than I am when it comes to deleting things on your truck but those are my findings for what it's worth. Good luck.

I second that. In my opinion and experience the MM3 tuner blows the other tuners/ platforms out of the water it's one unit that does it all. Also remember that being a lifetime member can get you great discounts.
